Registration is now open. While the conference is primarily an in-person* event, a virtual component will be available to members that cannot travel to Phoenix to attend the conference in person. Details of the virtual component are not yet finalized, but will be announced as soon as possible.
There are no separate in-person and virtual registration options. Registration for the conference will give access to both modes. This means that a registrant can decide on their own schedule whether they would like to attend in-person or virtual, taking the evolving pandemic situation into account, and do not need to make a decision on the attendance mode at the time of registration+. However, there will be no refunds for registration issued after October 15, 2021.
In addition to all other rules and regulations relating to Attendee’s attendance at the DFD Annual Meeting, In-Person attendees agree to:
- Being fully vaccinated* against COVID-19 prior to attending the meeting with a vaccine approved by the World Health Organization (ie., Pfizer/BioNTech, Johnson and Johnson/Janssen, Moderna, AstraZeneca/Oxford, Sinopharm or Sinovac); and,
- Attestation to their vaccination status prior to the meeting through a process to be established by APS.
*People are considered fully vaccinated two weeks after their second shot of the Pfizer-BioNtech, Moderna, AstraZeneca/Oxford, Sinopharm, or Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine, or two weeks after the single-dose J&J/Janssen COVID-19 vaccine.
- Agree to comply with all COVID-related procedures that may be implemented by DFD and the Phoenix Convention Center, including, but not limited to, mask-wearing and social distancing requirements and restrictions on certain activities that carry higher COVID-related risk, to protect, as much as possible, the health and safety of all DFD attendees.
+ Although you do not make a decision on whether you will attend in person or virtual at the time of registration, you will receive an email asking your plans prior to the meeting so we can plan accordingly.
